Chinese Cabbage Seeds - Chun Yeon Gold - Hybrid. Non-GMO. Brassica rapa var pekinensis. 60-70 days. Spring season annual. This spring time Chinese cabbage hybrid has excellent heading ability under various conditions. The barrel head type cabbages are cylindrical shaped with deep green outer leaves and yellow inside leaves. Mid ribs are thin. Head size average 12 tall, 7-8" wide and weigh 2-2.5 lb. The cabbage has low moisture content and excellent flavor which makes this Chinese cabbage a good choice for kimchi pickling. Edible burdock is an important vegetable essential in preparing the classic Japanese dish kimpira. This is a late maturing variety that has rich earthy flavor. It is the most popular variety in Japan. Mature plant can reach 3' in height and roots grow to 3-4'. Roots can be harvested in 4-5 months if planted in spring. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. For best results, avoid heavy clay soils. Sow seeds in spring or fall in a sunny location. This variety does not bolt when sown in fall. Burdock seeds will not germinate without sensing light. Pepper Seeds - Hot - Thai - Prik Chi Faa. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Capsicum annuum. AKA chilli api, Dragon Pepper, la chiao, la jiao, lombok kecil, miris, murich, ot, prik chi faa, siling labuyo, togarashi. 75-85 days to maturity. Warm season annual. These Thai chili peppers are considered medium hot. The peppers have smooth glossy green skin that turns red at maturity. They grow about 5 to 7 long and weigh a little less than 1 ounce. Start seeds inside 6 weeks before last frost date (or 8 weeks before expected transplanting date). Keep soil warm until emergence. Seeds will not germinate in cool soil and planting out too early may affect plant vigor. Harden off plants carefully before transplanting. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil.
