Gourd Seeds - Buab Khom - Hybrid.Luffa acutangula. 50-60 days to maturity. NonGMO. Warm season annual. This is a hybrid ridge gourd with excellent fruit quality and high yielding. The fruit are light green color and medium size ranging from 12-14 weighing about 1/2 lb. Vines are vigorous and have lots of branching. Resistant to Downy mildew. Requires a long, warm growing season. Prepare fertile, well drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/early summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. The seed coat is hard and should be soaked in warm water for 24 hours or gently clip the seed tip to help the seed germinate. Hill planting: Form soil into a 1-ft. diameter mound 3-4' tall. Swiss Chard Seeds - Japanese Umaina. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Beta vulgaris var cicla. Alt names: fudanso, Swiss Chard, tian cai, tojishiya. 55 days. Cool season annual. This tender Japanese variety has broad leaves that are deep green, slightly savoyed, and have short pale green midribs. It can withstand both hot and cold temperatures and is very slow to bolt. Good for fresh market and home garden growing. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost in a warm, sunny location or partial shade in hot areas. In temperate areas, sow in late summer/early fall as well. Keep soil moist. Soak seeds and rinse water 3-4 times before planting. The Kuroda Long 8 carrot is a sweet Asian carrot. It is tolerable to multiple climates, and grows best with some shade. Seeds should be planted at least 12 inches apart from one another outdoors in fertile loose soil. This plant is hardy, and can be grown in Spring and Fall, as long as temperatures are between 45 and 75 degrees. After 75 days, carrots are ready to be harvested.
