Non GMO. Cool season annual. This is a heading mustard or wrapped heart mustard. In cold weather, this mustard forms a small head with a tightly wrapped core. The vigorous plants are high yielding and easy to grow. A tasty variety that is very popular in Taiwan and southern China. Heading mustard requires cool temperature for heads to form. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in late summer/early fall. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. The flavor is best when grown briskly so plant in fertile soil and keep well watered. Gourd Seeds - Bonanza. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Luffa acutangula. 80-90 days. Warm season annual. Also know as Chinese okra, this vigorous productive plant produces a high yield of edible fruit on strong, lateral branches. Fruit are 18 long, 2" in diameter and weigh just under a pound. The green-colored, ridged fruit is tender and tasty and matures 45 days after the flower sets. Requires a long, warm growing season. Prepare fertile, well drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/early summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. The seed coat is hard and should be soaked in warm water for 24 hours or gently clip the seed tip to help the seed germinate. Hill planting: Form soil into a 1-ft. diameter mound 3-4' tall. Toraji Seeds - Balloon Flower. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Platycodon grandiflorus (Jacq.) A. DC. Perennial in Zones 3-8. Can be grown as an annual. Also known as Chinese Bell Flower or Japanese Bell Flower, this perennial is a member of the Campanula family that grows to 30 tall. The blossoms open from a balloon shape to a large blue-violet or white 5-pointed star. In the West, it is known as an ornamental, but this East Asian native has long been grown in China, Korea, Japan and East Siberia for medicinal purposes. The root -- dried as well as fresh -- is also used in many Asian dishes and salads. Sow seeds in flats in the spring on well-drained planting mix. Do not cover, as seeds require light for germination. Transplant in sun or part shade in sandy loam soil when about 2" tall being careful not to disturb the roots.
