Chinese Cabbage Seeds - China Gold - Hybrid. Non-GMO. Brassica rapa var pekinensis. 65 days. Cool season annual. China Gold is a mid-early maturing variety excellent green external and yellow internal color. It has a compact frame, good weight and is very slow bolting. This variety is tolerant to tipburn and some clubroot races. This variety is bred for spring to early summer harvest in areas where bolting is a problem. It also grows well as a late summer to early winter crop where no frost occurs. Timing on spring and fall plantings should be trialed as changing (increasing or decreasing) daylength can be a trigger for bolting. Prepare fertile well drained soil. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Exposing plants to frost or prolonged temperatures below 50?F may result in bolting. Note: Chinese Cabbage requires vernalization. The Shin Kuroda 5 inch carrot is a variation that is quite adaptable to both different weather and different soil types. It has a bright orange color and lots of nutrients packed into its 5 inch root. Plant seeds between late April and mid June in full sun light. Seeds should be planted directly outside quarter inch to half inch deep in the soil. Corsican gourds have a round flat shape that is unique to them.They have a light medium green color and become tan when dried. They grow to be 12� in diameter by 5� tall, looking similar to a cheese wheel. Plants grow 18-24� tall with long vines. Sow seeds indoors for transplant or directly outdoors.
