Tomato Seeds - Katana - Hybrid. Non-GMO. Solanum lycopersicum. 60 days (from transplant); Semi-determinate. Warm season annual. Start seeds inside 6 weeks before last frost date (or 8 weeks before expected transplanting date). Keep soil warm until emergence. Seeds will not germinate in cool soil and planting out too early may affect plant vigor. Harden off plants carefully before transplanting. Prepare fertile, well drained soil. Transplant in late spring/summer (soil temperatures at least above 60?F) in a very warm and sunny location. Plant so that soil level is just below the lowest leaves. Fertilize as needed. Train to a vertical support. Too much nitrogen will produce lush foliage and few fruits. This is a consistent producer of uniform, firm, beefsteak fruits with smooth shoulders. A hybrid semi determinate variety, the plants yield a continuous harvest throughout the season. Resistant to fusarium races 1, 2 & 3, verticillium, nematodes, tomato mosaic virus, and TYLCV. Mung Bean - Mappe Green. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Vigna radiata. Also known as balatung, bean sprouts, Chinese green bean, dau xanh, kacang hijau, look dow, lu dou, luk dou, mongo, moyashi, moyashi mame, munatta, mung, ree dou, ryokuto, thua khieo. 7-10 days for microgreens and 70 days to full maturity. Warm season annual. Typically grown for their flavorful and crispy bean sprouts, mung beans are also grown to full maturity and cultivated for green beans. The plants are bushy, producing purplish-yellow flowers and curving 3 hairy pods with 7-9 beans in each. For large sprouts, sow seeds in spring to summer in sandy soil in a bright but cool location. Broadcast seeds on soil and cover with a thin layer. Keep uniformly moist. Harvest by cutting when seedlings reach 3-4". For smaller sprouts, use a sprouting jar indoors. Wash seeds thoroughly before planting, during growth, and wash sprouts well before eating. For green beans, prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring/ summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Hand pick. Harvest filet beans when diameter is 1/8-1/4" at best and before beans start to bulge in the pods. Bean sprouts are a welcome addition to stir-fries and eaten fresh. Da Hong Winter variety is excellent for baby leaf production. It grows faster than Da Hong Summer variety during the fall-winter season. When Da Hong Winter variety is grown during summer, the days to maturity is the same as Da Hong Summer variety. Leaf color is violet-red with green petiole color. Leaves are oval-shape and is tolerant to cool temperatures. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost to early summer or late summer/early fall. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Optimum growing temperatures are in the 60s?F. Exposure to frost or prolonged temperatures below 50?F may result in bolting. Mulch fall crops to avoid premature bolting. Most vegetables leave having purple color is called anthocyan" which is generally developed by lower temperature. Growing temperatures 50-60?F should be adequate to develop "anthocyan" after the seeds have germinated. We cannot tell exactly how long exposure should be under low temperatures.
