Pea Seeds - Sugar Snap - Taichung 13. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Pisum sativum. Alt names bola kadala, chicaro, Chinese pea, dau hoa lan, edible podded snow pea, ercis, ho lan dow, kacang manis, kacang pi, matter, saya endo, shid dou, sitsaro, snow pea, thua lantao, tian cui wan dou, tua lan tau, wandokong, wan dou. 70 days. Cool season annual. This early edible podded sugar pea has white flowers. The vines are vigorous and prolific, producing many pods that are round, plump, crispy, very sweet and of excellent quality. Prefers cool temperatures. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in early to late spring after last frost or sow seeds in fall 8-10 weeks before first frost date. Keep soil moist. Heavy watering during flowering can interfere with pollination. Train to climb a vertical support at least 6' tall. Fertilize as needed with a balanced fertilizer. Too much nitrogen will produce lush foliage and result in poor flowering and fruiting. Harvest when pods begin to swell. Eat these sugar peas fresh for a healthy snack or add them to a salad. You can also quickly stir-fry them. About 112 seeds/ounce.

Alternate names: ang chaithao, bai cai, bok choy, cai be trang, cai thia, cai thuong hai, celery mustard, Chinese chard, Chinese mustard, Chinese white cabbage, kala gowa, paak tsai, pak choi, pecai, pecal, pechay, petsai, petsay, phakkaat farang, phakkaet bai, qing cai, samho, sawi, sawi puhit, sesawi putih, shakushina, tsing pak choi. 35 days. Warm season annual. This is a very popular frilly leaf pak choi or Bok Choy" in Taiwan. The plant is semi-spreading and weighs about 1/2 pound at maturity. The leaves are green, frilly and wrinkled with smooth white petioles. Can be grown year-round in sub-tropical areas. The leaves are very tender and crisp and can be prepared in stir-fry or added to soup. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. It has vigorous deep purple-red leaves with ruffled edges and a green mid rib. The thick young leaves are tender and spicy with an excellent flavor. Harvest at any stage--microgreens, baby leaf or at full maturity. Good for mild climates. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in early/late spring or late summer/early fall in a sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plant every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. Parsley Seeds - Japanese - Mitsuba. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Chryptotaenia japonica. Alt names Japanese honewort, Japanese wild parsley, mitsuba, san ip, san ye quin, selderi jepang, trefoil, ya er chin. 50-60 days to maturity. Perennial. This native Japanese herb is called Japanese hornwort or Japanese wild parsley. It is a popular traditional vegetable, dento yasai, of Japan. Long stalks have trefoil leaves that are aromatic. Although perennial by nature, this plant is grown as an annual food crop. Excellent grown as microgreens. This Mitsuba is Kansai type. A woodland plant, grow in a moist, moderately shaded area (especially during summer) for best results. Chinese Cabbage Seeds - Osaka Shirona. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Brassica rapa Pekinensis group. 40-60 days. Cool season annual. Osaka Shirona is a loose-head variety of Chinese cabbage. These Japanese greens grow mild-tasting medium-sized bright green leaves with wide and firm white petioles or stocks. It is a fast-growing variety that is tolerant to both cold and heat. In frost-free areas it can be sown all year long, but avoid planting in the middle of a hot summer. Traditionally, leaves were dried or pickled to provide nutritious greens during winter months. Chinese cabbage prefers cool temperatures for its main growing season. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. In temperate areas sow seeds in spring/summer after last frost or late summer/early fall.
