Amaranth Seeds - Red Leaf - Hu Hsien. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Annual. Edible amaranth is also called Chinese Spinach or yin choi. This variety is a leafy vegetable with large, light green leaves with red veins in the center leaf. The plant produces a high yield of tender leaves and grows vigorously in warm temperatures. Amaranth will tolerate hot, dry and moist conditions but will not thrive in cold temperatures. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Adzuki Bean - Wase. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Vigna angularis. 70 days. Warm season annual. This is an early maturing and small seed variety. Adzuki bean is grown mainly for the dried red beans which are used in the Asian soup and sweet confectionery paste. Young green beans can be prepared like French filet beans. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds late spring (April-May in Japan) after last frost in a sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed.
