Sow seeds in late spring/summer after last frost in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Train to climb a vertical support. Harvest pods while still smooth, tender, about diameter of a pencil, and 21-24" long. This type of bean is used in the popular Szechwan dish Dry Fried Beans. Try in recipes that use snap beans.
