Cool season annual. This variety is the best selling daikon in Japan's markets. The radish root is uniform and grows up to 15 inches and weighs about 2 pounds. The color of the root is white with a green shoulder and has a very late pithiness and late bolting characteristics. This excellent quality daikon with smooth skin, good texture, and mild flavor. Earliest recommended sowing is when the half-month average high temperature reaches 60?F. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost or in late summer/early fall in a warm, sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Use in soup, salad, pickled or fresh.
