Mustard Seeds - Serifon (Suehlihung). Heirloom, Non-GMO. Brassica juncea var capitata L. AKA aba kola, cai xanh, Chinese mustard, gat, green in the snow mustard, hsueh li hung, moster, mustasa, phakkaat khieo, rai, sawi, sawi hijau, sawi pahit, sawi sawi, sesawi, setsu ri kon, sher li hon, shuerifong, suae li hong, xue li hong. 30-50 days. Cool season annual. This winter hardy heirloom from Southern China has long, dark green, serrated leaves and a slightly pungent flavor. The plant is semi-upright and tolerates both heat and cold. It has an excellent mustard flavor and tender texture. Also known as Green In the Snow and Suehlihung. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in early/late spring or late summer/early fall in a sunny location. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plant every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. The flavor is best when grown briskly so plant in fertile soil and keep well watered. Start harvesting at 3 tall for baby mustard greens. Thin to 10" apart for mature heads. May bolt as temperatures and day lengths increase. Harvest florets as they are tender and delicious too. Harvest when fully mature at 14-18" tall. Use in stir-fries and salad. Popular in China preserved in salt and fried with pork. About 28000 seeds per ounce."
