Fischers Ragwort - Gom Chwi. Heirloom, Non-GMO. Ligularia fischeri. 55 days after transplanting. Mild temperature perennial. Gom Chwi is a highly prized seasonal vegetable of Korea. The leaves are green, heart shaped with serrated margins. Leaf size can range from 12-30 and can be harvested at any size. In mild climate Gom Chwi can grow year round with multiple harvestings, up to 8 per year. Its first harvest approximately 55 days after transplant. Late summer vertical spikes of yellow aster-like flowers bloom. Prefers loamy, moist soil, sun and partial shade conditions. Sow seeds in spring. Keep soil moist. Germination at 50?F under shade. In Korean cuisine, gom chwi along with other season vegetable varieties are often used as the main ingredient of herbal side dishes called namul. Gom chwi can be eaten pickled as jangajji and kimchi or eaten fresh as a ssam (wrap) vegetable. Approx 22500 seeds/oz."
