Cool season annual. Like other varieties of Chinese celery, Light green variety delivers the distinct celery flavor and aroma. The plant does not produce ribbed, thick stalks as conventional celery but very small, thin stems and leaves. The leaves and stems are used in soups and stir-fries for accent. Excellent variety for microgreens. Celery plants need a lot of moisture and thrive in the cooler temperatures of spring and fall. Prepare fertile, well drained soil. Seeds need light to germinate so cover with a thin layer of soil. Soak seeds before planting to enhance germination. The thickness of sowing would depend upon stage at which the stalks are to be harvested. Sow seeds in spring/summer after last frost or in late summer/early fall in mild areas. Optimum growing temperatures are 60?-70?F. Grow in partial shade in hot areas. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Harvest leaves and young stems when plant is at any stage, mirocgreens or mature plants at 10-12 tall. Use in soups, stir-fries or as an herb for seasoning. ~75000 seeds / oz."
