Cool-warm season. This specialty pak choi variety is smaller than baby pak choi. It is similar to our Chinese Pak Choi and Dwarf Pak Choi varieties although smaller and more compact. This fast growing variety has curled, glossy, dark green leaves with short, thick white petioles. Can be grown year round in sub-tropical areas. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in spring after last frost to early summer or late summer/early fall. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Optimum growing temperatures are in the 60s?F. Exposure to frost or prolonged temperatures below 50?F may result in bolting. Mulch fall crops to avoid premature bolting. Harvest around 2-3 tall.
