It has a licorice scent. The plant can grow up to 3 feet and produces violet to blue flowering clusters attracting butterflies and bees. The leaves are oval, crinkled, and has serrated margins. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in late spring after last frost in a sunny location. Needs light to germinate so press seeds lightly into soil. The herbs aroma is less intense when grown in shade. Keep soil moist. In southern Korea cuisine, Korean mint is used in chueo tang, maeun tang, and Korean pancakes, buchimgae.
